Nunan-Smith
Jennifer Nunan and Eric Smith, both of Peoria, were married May 6, 2011, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
The daughter of Steve Nunan of Pekin and Jan Nunan of Peoria, the bride is a 2004 graduate of St. Louis University. She is employed as director of cosmetic services for Soderstrom Skin Institute in Peoria.
The son of Jerry and Ging Smith of DeKalb, the groom is a 2001 graduate of Northern Illinois University. He is district manager, peripheral intervention, for Cook Medical Inc. in central Illinois.
Amy Swibold of Pekin was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Milazzo of St. Louis and Terah Anderson of Pekin.
Frank Amore of Geneva was best man. Groomsmen were Nick Hamilton of Aurora and Travis Wall of Bartonville.
Ushers were Scott Nunan of Metamora and David Griffin of Chicago.
The couple resides in Peoria.
60th anniversary
Bob and Glenna Blahnik of DeKalb celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27, 2011, in the DeKalb Park District Terrace Room. The couple was married Sept. 8, 1951, in Green Bay, Wis.
Glenna is a housewife and Bob is retired.
They have 11 children, Tom Blahnik of Rockford, Dick (Lola) Blahnik of DeKalb, Harry (Renee) Blahnik of Burnsville, Minn., Sharon Cox of DeKalb, Maggie (Rich) Govea of Rochelle, Jim (Deb) Blahnik of Sycamore, Bob (Cheryl) Blahnik of Golden, Colo., Denise (Tim) Berkshire of Sycamore, Terry (Tom) Meeusen of Jenison, Mich., Glenn (Jen) Blahnik of Lafayette, Ind., and Renee (Tom) Comeford of DeKalb.
They also have 27 grandchildren, Tom (Heather), Bill, Mike and Joe (Gloria) Blahnik, Adam, Luke and Paul Blahnik, Scott (Andrea), Lindsay (Derek), Dan, David and Mark Blahnik, Jenni Cox, Francis, Ian and Bobby Govea, Jordan (Katie) and Summer Blahnik, Ross, Matt and Katie Blahnik, Samantha and Tony Berkshire, Michelle Layton, Matt Meeusen and Makenzie and Kelsey Blahnik. They also have four great-grandchildren.
35th anniversary
Douglas H. Anderson and Cheryl Schabacker Fell Anderson are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married Sept. 2, 1976.
Before they retired, Douglas worked at the Anderson family dairy farm with his father, Harvey R. Anderson in Sycamore, and Cheryl worked at DeKalb County Nursing Home.
The couple has four children, Karl Fell (Leslie Balder,) Joseph Anderson (Christina Powell,) Mark Anderson and Melissa Anderson. They also have five grandchildren, Devon, Kyle, Jack, Natalie and Savanna.

Buehler-Yochem
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Buehler of DeKalb announce the engagement of their daughter, Bridget Buehler, to Ben Yochem, son of James and Jennifer Yochem of DeKalb.
Both Ben and Bridget graduated from DeKalb High School in 2006 where they met and began dating as juniors.
Bridget is working on completing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Illinois University. She is employed at Pizza Villa, and loves photography.
Ben is the general manager of Little Caesars in DeKalb and enjoys playing guitar.
Ben and Bridget's wedding will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011.
40th anniversary
Steve and Carole (Bodda) Hilleson of DeKalb will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house, to be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 4 at the home of Josh and Kristen Hickey, 1143 Steward Road, Steward.
The couple was married Sept. 1, 1971, in DeKalb.
Carole is retired from Northern Illinois University mail room. Steve is a farmer and auctioneer.
The couple has two children, Amber Hilleson (Jason Pfister) of DeKalb and Kristen and Josh Hickey of Steward. They also have four grandchildren, Cody and Jade Ansteth (and a new one due any day) and Hank and Everett Hickey.
