COAL CITY — Mr. Joe W. Roberts, 79, of Coal City, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Morris Hospital.

Born March 29, 1932 in Hariman Tenn., Joe was the son of the late David and Betty Roberts.

He was a member of The Braceville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty D. Roberts; a son, Keith (Pam) Roberts; daughter, Katherine Chuck) Rose; grandchildren, Adam(Kristi Davy) Roberts, Michelle Reddinger and Dan Reddinger; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Vernon (Lois) Roberts; two sister-in-laws, Barbara, Roberts and Audrey Vogt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Lewis L. Roberts, and David Roberts.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
