SEASIDE, Calif. — Mr. Thomas Stephen Clayton, 58, of Seaside, Calif., and formerly of Morris, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, following a sudden heart attack in Seaside.
Born May 8, 1952, in Morris, Tom was the son of Thomas and Frances Clayton. He attended Morris Grade School and graduated from Morris Community High School.
Tom moved to California in the early 1970s. He received his contractor's license and worked in construction until the time of his death.
Tom will be remembered by his infectious laugh, his fun-loving attitude and his faithfulness in keeping in touch with his friends and family. He was devoted to his two Border Collies, Shyr and Boldr.
Survivors include his three sisters, Nancy Norman of Morris, Cheryl (Siegfried) Storz of Camarillo, Calif., and Beth (Gerry) Carlson of Morris; a dear friend, Jo Ann Rossi-Clayton of Watsonville, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites were accorded, per Tom's wishes.
A time of sharing memories was held in Seaside by his family, friends and neighbors.
The Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
