MOUNT MORRIS – Stephanie L. Bormes, 32, of Mount Morris, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in rural Oregon, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Stephanie was born June 26, 1977, in Rochelle, the daughter of George and Debra Cox. She married Brian A. Bormes on Sept. 1, 2001, in Oregon. Stephanie was a member of East Oregon Church of God, and was employed at Crest Foods, where she was a member of their wellness and fitness group. She loved animals, enjoyed volleyball and playing the guitar, and was a Chicago Bears fan.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; her daughter, Kennedy; her parents, George and Debra Cox of Oregon; her grandmother, Betty Roberts of Oregon; her sister, Cheyenne Cox, and her brother, Shawn Cox, both of Oregon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Clapper, Floyd and Mildred Cox, and Gerald Cox; and two great-grandmothers.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oregon Church of God, 860 W. Oregon Trail Road, with John Guthrie, pastor of East Oregon Church of God, officiating. Burial will be at Daysville Cemetery, Oregon. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon.
