WEST CHICAGO – Two teenagers, including one from Geneva, are charged in a weekend shooting in West Chicago.
Dante Farfan, 17, of the 2100 block of Pepper Valley Road, Geneva, and Irvin Naranjo, 18, of the 700 block of Main Street, West Chicago, each face attempted aggravated battery with a firearm charges in the early Sunday morning shooting.
They remained in DuPage County Jail Monday afternoon, a DuPage County Jail spokeswoman said. Farfan's bail was set at $500,000 and Naranjo's bail is $400,000.
West Chicago police said officers were called about 1:10 a.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Main Street to a report of shots fired.
No one was injured, police said.
The investigation led police to the arrest of Farfan and Naranjo.
Cmdr. Christopher Shackelford could not be reached for comment Monday. Other police personnel could not provide additional details about the shooting.
