Barton Healthcare names new chief financial officer

NORTHFIELD – Barton Healthcare, one of Illinois’ largest caregivers with supportive living, skilled nursing, mental health and behavioral health facilities, has announced the appointment of Anca Zota-Oviedo as the company’s new chief financial officer.

Oviedo brings more than 10 years of professional experience in financial management and accounting for healthcare institutions, nonprofit and HUD-finance organizations to Barton Healthcare.

In her new role, Oviedo will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations at Barton Healthcare, including annual reports and databases.  She will also look to optimize current processes in an effort to streamline resources to deliver an even higher level of service and living experience to Barton residents.

Prior to joining Barton Healthcare, Oviedo served as accounting and auditing manager at the Deerfield accounting firm Frost, Ruttenberg & Rothblatt PC, where she worked closely with business owners and financial officers to develop budgets and create goals for companies in need of financial restructuring. Oviedo also counseled the board of directors for nonprofit clients on financial issues and industry trends to increase efficiency in day-to-day operations.
 
She currently holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Transylvania in Romania.  Oviedo credits her background in engineering for her strongly analytical accounting style, which allows her to interpret financial results more efficiently.

She also is a certified CPA, as well as a former Olympic gymnast for Romania in 1984.
