Anderson Fields Golf Course:

This 9 hole municipal golf course located in Streator can trace it’s origins back to the early 1920′s. The layout of this course has changed very little in the last 100 years, with the exception of a new clubhouse and larger trees. Anderson Fields is often lauded for being a simple, convenient and affordable course.

Chapel Hill Golf Course:

This 18 hole public course located in Princeton, the western end of Starved Rock Country, features serene tree-lined fairways and rolling ridges. Amenities such as a driving range, putting green, cocktail lounge and pro shop make Chapel Hill a destination course.

Dayton Ridge Golf Course:

This 9 hole public course is located in northern Ottawa, just a stone’s throw from I-80. Known for being an affordable and easy course, Dayton Ridge a great location to stretch your legs and play a few holes before exploring Starved Rock Country. The course also includes a full bar and restaurant on premises, as well as the local chapter of the Moose Lodge.

Dwight Country Club:

This 18 hole semi-private course located in Dwight, southeastern Starved Rock Country, pairs a quiet and calm country setting with convenient access to I-55. Founded in 1913, this course is known to have an excellent layout and top-notch food in the their clubhouse restaurant.

Earlville Golf Club:

This 9 hole public course located in Earlville, north-central Starved Rock Country, is known for it’s winding valley fairways and tree-lined roughs. A small, but challenging, country course, the Earlville Golf Club is an inexpensive par 32 that’s well worth the drive.

The Eastwood Golf Course:

This 9 hole public course, located in Streator, borders the gorgeous Vermillion River. Boasting five water features and challenging doglegs, this course is enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The Eastwood’s clubhouse restaurant is serving up some of the best food in Streator, as well as offering a full bar with craft brews, locally made wine and a large cocktail menu.

Mendota Golf Club:

This 18 hole semi-private course located in Mendota, northwestern Starved Rock Country, features over 140 acres of beautiful rolling hills. Mendota takes meticulous care of their greens and boasts 5 notoriously challenging par 3′s. Complete with a bar, dining room and pro shop, Mendota is one of your best options for golfing in the northern portion of Starved Rock Country.

Pine Hills Golf Club:

This 18 hole semi-private course is located on the southern end of Ottawa. Pine Hills Golf Course was designed by the famed Thomas Bendelow, known for laying out such courses as Medinah Country Club and Olympia Fields, and opened it’s doors in 1924. Pine Hills has grown considerably since then, adding two official US Kids Golf courses in 2014, a large club house and pro shop, as well as a full service dining room that serves award-winning pizzas.

This 18 hour course, conviently located near I-39 and I-80 in LaSalle, is a true golfer’s delight! Senica’s Oak Ridge is masterfully designed to utilize the area’s natural beauty, this exceptional development features a 6900 yard, par 72 championship golf course.Gently rolling bentgrass fairways weave their way through a challenging landscape of oak woodlands, past five sparkling lakes, along a meandering creek and over 49 sandtraps. Spring Creek Golf Course:

This 18 hole semi-private course in Spring Valley, conveniently located off of I-80′s Exit 70, is built around three tenants: mature trees, challenging layouts and affordable fees. This heavily wooded course is dotted with hazards and elevation changes. Four of Spring Creek’s holes, #12, #13, #14 and #15 are so infamous that that they’ve earned the nickname “Hail Mary Corner”, so if you’re looking for a challenge while you’re in Starved Rock Country, Spring Creek is one of your best bets.
