Letter: Non-interchangeable EV batteries

To the Editor:

Isn’t it a happy thought to know Electric Car (EV) batteries will NOT be interchangeable (compatible) between different manufactured cars and, in some cases, between models by the same manufacturer?

So when your EV is towed in for a battery replacement you will hear, " Oh, by the way, you need the YamaSuki Type 4 model 3.7 with Update 4.3 battery for your EV and it will take a week or so to get one here via a special order.” There will also be a fee for storing and handling your old battery to prevent climate change.”
