Silver Cross COVID-19 hospitalizations decrease since beginning of week

Silver Cross Hospital COVID-19 hospitalizations have decreased since the beginning of the week. As of Friday, 56 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 and four were awaiting for results. On Monday, 61 were hospitalized.

Silver Cross did see an uptick in the number of patients in the intensive care unit as nine were there on Friday, compared to eight at the beginning of the week. However, one positive sign was that only one person was on a ventilator at the same time.

Since March, the hospital has tested 44,364 people, with 3,053 testing positive. In that time, 1,828 who were hospitalized have been discharged who were once hospitalized.

The hospital has conducted 1,087 tests, found 75 to be positive and have discharged 60 people since last Friday, as well.
