Man dies of apparent gunshot wound

Autopsy scheduled for Sunday

The Romeoville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting.

A man with a gunshot wound was found dead at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Highpoint Drive in Romeoville, according to a statement from the Will County Coroner’s Office on Saturday.

The man’s identity is being withheld as notification of kin is pending.

The coroner’s office will determine the final cause and manner of death at a later date. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
