The Joliet Area Historical Museum has received an $80,000 Back to Business grant from the state of Illinois.

The city of Joliet this week announced the grant and said that it had been received in January and obtained in cooperation with the city.

The Back to Business Grant Program was created to provide recovery funding for small businesses hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. The $250 million program follows the Business Interruption Grant Program, which provided $290 million to 9,000 businesses in Illinois, according to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity website.
