A Joliet man was arrested on a charge of child pornography possession.

On Tuesday, agents with Illinois State Police Zone 3 executed a search warrant at a residence in Joliet, according to state police officials.

During the execution of the search warrant, the agents made contact with Rodney Phillippi, 61, of the 1000 block of Lois Place, police said.

“An investigation ensued, and probable cause was established to arrest Phillippi for possession of child pornography,” police said.

Following Phillippi’s arrest, he was taken to the Will County jail. Court records show Phillippi was charged with four counts of possessing child pornography depicting a victim under 13.

The Illinois State Police have made several other child pornography arrests earlier this year in Will County.

In August, Alejandro Perez-Cervantes, 37, of Joliet was arrested on a child pornography charge.

In March, Matthew Ferrari, 52, of Romeoville and David Marvin, 55, of Joliet were arrested by state police on child pornography charges over the course of two days, police said.

In February, Alex Abreu, 33, of Joliet and Deon Wallace, 22, were arrested by state police on child pornography charges.
