Plainfield church to hold a White Mass for health care workers on Monday

The community is invited to participate virtually or in-person

St Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield will offer at White Mass at 7 p.m. Monday for anyone who works in any role related to health care.

These roles include doctors, nurses and nurses aids, as well as people who work in maintenance, housekeeping and dietary personnel, and anyone with a staff position at a hospital, nursing home or care facility, according to a news release from St. Mary Immaculate Parish. The Mass will be offered in appreciation of their work in healing the sick, the release said.

The presider of the Mass will be the church’s pastor, Rev. Pat Mulcahy. The lector will be Pat Mander, a registered nurse and director of St. Mary Immaculate’s pastoral care ministry.

People may attend in person at the church, located at 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield.
