Troy 30-C names educational technology coordinator

Sarah Wells to start position on July 1

The Troy Community School District 30-C appointed Sarah Wells as the district’s educational technology coordinator at its April meeting.

Wells will start her new position on July 1.

In that role, Wells will “enhance, engage and advance student success at every grade level and provide professional development for teachers on integration of technology into their classroom curriculum,” according to a news release from the Troy school district.

Wells will also evaluate software and technology tools for both students and staff.

She has most recently served as the fourth grade teacher and an ACE teacher at Troy Hofer Elementary School in Shorewood.

Wells previously taught fifth grade at the Maercker School District 60 Maercker Elementary School and at the Westmont School District 201 C.E. Miller Elementary School.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in speech communication and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. Both degrees are from Concordia University.

Wells also has endorsements in English language learning, gifted education and as a technology specialist.
