LocalLit book preview: ‘Baylyn, Bewitched’

Novel about by two Plainfield authors will be reviewed in the LocalLit newsletter on Tuesday

This novel by two Plainfield authors is about a witch who falls in love - but she has trust issues.

I’ve always enjoyed stories about witches.

I love the play “Bell, Book and Candle” and I grew up watching “Bewitched” and the cartoon “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” I even saw the more recent TV show “Charmed” once and my daughter told me there is a reboot of that show.

A Joliet author in my writer’s group is also working on a series about a Scottish witch.

So when I recently discovered “Baylyn, Bewitched” by Plainfield authors Christine Cacciatore and Jennifer Starkman, I downloaded it onto my Kindle to read over this weekend.

It’s this book I’ll be reviewing in Tuesday’s LocalLit newsletter.

Here is the book’s Amazon description: “Baylyn Travers is a witch, wand and all, but no one knows. Magic has interfered with her dating in the past and trust issues have kept her from true love. The quirky librarian falls hard for sexy Declan Hughes and the feeling is mutual. Will Declan still feel the same when he finds out Bay’s biggest secret? After all, it’s not every day you find out your girlfriend is a witch.”
