Freezing fog could impact morning travel across several northern Illinois counties

These areas could experience freezing fog Monday morning, the National Weather Service said.

The National Weather Service said patchy shallow freezing fog is possible Monday morning across several counties: Suburban Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kankakee, Kane, Kendall, Will counties

Where locally dense fog develops, patchy slick spots may also occur due to the sub-freezing temperatures, the NWS said.

The conditions could last until around 8 a.m.
