Shorewood getting new housing development

National homebuilder Lennar will provide new single-family housing – Towne Center II – on 139 lots between the existing Towne Center and Fox Bend neighborhoods in Shorewood.

The village of Shorewood Board of Trustees recently approved a residential development with construction beginning this summer, according to a news release from the village of Shorewood.

Each of the six single-family models, including two ranch and four two-story, will have three unique architectural designs, according to the release.

Size of the models will range in size from 1,866 to 2,907 square feet and feature a minimum of three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, according to the release.

National homebuilder Lennar will provide new single-family housing – Towne Center II – on 139 lots between the existing Towne Center and Fox Bend neighborhoods in Shorewood.

Towne Center II model base prices range from $443,000 to $525,000, according to the release.

Lennar also will build a large pond at the south end of the Town Center II development “that will mirror the pond at the Towne Center,” according to the release.

A multi-use bike path will line the pond and connect to Village Hall and Towne Center Park on the west and to the bridge at Jefferson Street and River Road on the east, according to the release.

This new path will tie into Shorewood’s larger network of multiuse paths to provide “wider community access” to the Towne Center, the Village of Shorewood YMCA and Cene’s Four Seasons Park as well as other neighborhoods in Shorewood, according to the release.

Lennar is also planning another residential development – Auburn Chase – located across the tracks South of Seil Road and West of Cene’s Four Seasons Park in Shorewood, according to the release.
