Teacher Appreciation Week closed out fittingly this year with recognition teachers at the McHenry County Educators of the Year ceremony, hosted by the county's Regional Office of Education.

Woodstock High School recognized Harvard University graduate and entertainment industry executive Amy Reinhard with its 2024-25 Distinguished Alumni Award.

The Golden Ratio Robotics team and received the Franklin Division Second Place Connect Award at the FIRST World Championships on April 20 in Houston, Texas.

While the University of Tampa canceled classes and evacuated students, Woodstock native Jasmine Villavicencio stayed inside her apartment this week as Hurricane Idalia barreled toward the Florida Coast, she said.

21 Woodstock 200 students walked the stage twice this weekend, as they received both a high school diploma and an associates degree thanks to dual credit. “It hasn’t hit me yet. But I’m super thankful," said Woodstock High School graduate Alisha Virani.
