Norge Ski Club has dropped one of its ticket vendors for its annual ski jump event after a photo went viral on social media showing a sign displayed at the establishment in which the ski club says “encouraged violence.”

Norge Ski Club will host its 39th annual Jumptoberfest autumn ski jump tournament Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6.

New York Ski Educational Foundation jumper Henry Loher won the U20 Male Division Sunday at the 119th Annual Norge Ski Club Winter Tournament. Norge's Isak Nichols took second.

McHenry native Patrick Gasienica, a Norge Ski Club jumper who competed in the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, died at age 24 in a motorcycle accident on Monday.

Three men's jumpers, Casey Larson, Kevin Bickner and Patrick Gasinieca, and women's jumper Cara Larson, will compete Saturday at Lake Placid in the U.S. Olympic Trials.
