Christian Rago, the former offensive coordinator at St. Patrick High School in Chicago, heads into his next chapter as head varsity coach at Aurora Central Catholic.

Freshman guard Sofia Corral scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half, and Aurora Central Catholic survived a physical game to end Sandwich's Cinderella playoff run with a 47-40 win in the Class 2A Somonauk Regional final.

St. Francis, Aurora Central Catholic and IC Catholic were announced as the newest members of the CCL/ESCC Football alliance and will begin play in the now 25-member league in the 2023 season.
