The Sterling American Legion Post 296 at 601 First Ave., Sterling, will host a public open house from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

This will be an opportunity to meet current members and guests and answer any questions you may have regarding membership. If you are interested, just bring a dish to pass.
