HomeGoods, a national chain of off-price home decor stores, will open a new location Thursday at 3340 Shopper Drive in The Shoppes at Fox River.
HomeGoods expects to fill about 65 full- and part-time positions, according to a news release. The location is more than 23,000 square feet in size.
“With a large variety of merchandise from around the world, customers will always find thrilling values in our treasure hunt shopping experience,” said company president John Ricciuti said in a statement. “We are happy to provide McHenry with a new HomeGoods.”
HomeGoods merchandise departments include furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, kitchen and dining, bedding, bath, pet accessories, storage, workspace, outdoor, gourmet and wellness. Its prices are generally 20% to 60% below full-price retailers’ prices, according to the release.
A grand opening celebration will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at the new store. It will mark the opening with a $10,000 donation to Turning Point of McHenry County, the a nonprofit addressing domestic violence in McHenry County.
The store’s hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday with senior shopping hours 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
