McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office hires two prosectors

Both are May 2020 law school graduates, one from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and the other from the University of Minnesota Law School

Two May 2020 law school graduates joined the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office March 1 as assistant state’s attorneys in its criminal division, according to a news release.

Rebekah G. Kim graduated cum laude from the Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, where she was a managing editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, according to the release.

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in Russian regional studies, cum laude, from Barnard College in New York City.

Michael L. Pettet graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, according to the release.

Pettet served as the student director of the Environmental Law Moot Court and was a member of the Environmental and Energy Law Society. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
