Chicago man charged with Marengo gas station robbery now also charged with Aurora armed robbery

A 26-year-old Chicago man charged in connection with the shooting of a Marengo gas station employee has now also been charged with committing an armed robbery Feb. 25 in Aurora, according to Kane County court records.

Antonio E. Pedrote, of the 3300 block of West 23rd Street, faces one count of armed robbery with a firearm and one of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He is being held on $500,000 bail at the McHenry County jail, awaiting trial on charges he robbed a Marengo gas station and shot a clerk on Feb. 24.
