The Huntley Police Department issued 22 tickets in connection with hands-free law violations and nine other citations during a distracted driving enforcement period in April.
The department joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners for this enforcement effort, according to a news release.
The campaign was funded with federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
