Illinois Valley Community College has extended its tuition payment deadline out more than a month to allow students and parents more time to prepare for the spring semester.
The deadline was extended from Dec. 8 to Jan. 12 – two days after the spring semester begins Monday, Jan. 10.
“As the gift-giving season approaches, students and parents face added financial pressure. By extending the deadline well past New Year’s, they will have more time to cover tuition or set up a payment plan,” Vice President for Student Services Mark Grzybowski said.
Students enrolling in at least six credit hours are eligible for Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund assistance:
- Those taking 12 or more hours will receive $1,000; those in 6 to 11, $500. HEERF payments will be made after April 7.
- High school students enrolled in IVCC dual credit and some dual enrollment courses will have tuition waived.
- Spring enrollees will receive a $100 IVCC Bookstore gift card. (IVCC employees and high school dual credit students are not eligible for the gift cards.)
