IVAR hosts dog walk at Baker Lake in Peru

Event helps the organization shock their shelves for winter

Help stock the shelves for winter at Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.

The organization will be hosting its third annual Dog Walk from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Baker Lake in Peru.

Participants will walk around Baker Lake with their pet and may still participate in the walk without one. Admission is a monetary or donation from the organization’s wish list.

The event will have IVAR gear for sale, food trucks from Lil Bella’s and Grandma Rosie’s and a blessing of pets at 1 p.m. The Perfectly Flawed Foundation also will be participating in the event.
