PERU - The Pink Ribbon Club of the Illinois Valley gathered and celebrated as a group on Wednesday, July 28.
The group was excited to host the Sauk Valley Chapter Pink Heals Fire Truck with Brian Tribley and his wife as featured speakers. They spent time visiting those who are in their breast cancer journey, allowing survivors to sign their truck and “travel” with them in spreading hope for survivorship.
The Pink Ribbon Club of the Illinois Valley provides an opportunity for survivors to learn about wellness throughout their cancer journey. The group meetings also provide an evening of food, laughter, education and conversation to support the survivors who are currently in treatment along with those who have completed treatment and are managing their wellness years after treatment.
The meetings are held at the First Congregational Church in Peru. Due to COVID concerns, the meeting schedule has been changed and will be guided by current regulations.
