Learn about the ‘Magical Migrating Monarch’ in La Salle library program

Master naturalist and IDNR park interpreter Lisa Sons will give virtual presentation May 11

The La Salle Public Library will virtually host Lisa Sons, master naturalist and Illinois Department of Natural Resources park interpreter, when she presents, “The Magical Migrating Monarch,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 11.

In this informative and educational program, Sons takes the virtual audience on a journey of discovery about the Monarch butterfly, the only North American butterfly that migrates every spring and fall. During the presentation, Lisa will discuss the life cycle, habitat and migration of this fascinating creature that is also the state insect of Illinois.

The program is free and open to the public but does require registration. Once registered, a confirmation email with connection info for joining the program will be sent.
