The Cavaliers are the No. 4 seed in the Interstate Eight Conference Tournament, and will play host to No. 5 Morris on Monday.
BV volleyball tops Kewanee
Lauren Wirth had 16 assists, six digs, four points and two aces Wednesday to lead the Bureau Valley volleyball team to a 25-23, 25-18 victory over Kewanee in Manlius.
Kamryn Kolb put down nine kills and had two blocks for BV (2-8), while Kyra Stoller had seven kills, two points and a block.
DePue-Hall soccer falls to Somonauk
Mauricio Ruiz scored a goal Wednesday as the DePue-Hall soccer team lost 5-1 to Somonauk in a Little Ten Conference game in DePue.

Four IV Dolphin swimmers qualify for nationals
The Illinois Valley YMCA Dolphin swim team had 23 district champions and four swimmers qualify for nationals.
Peyton Heagy won six events and swam two national qualifying times, Caden Brooks took first in four events and had seven national qualifying times, Nolan Deats won one event and recorded two national qualifying times, and Luke Mertes swam three national qualifying times.
Quinn Eddy won three events and had a third-place and fourth-place finish; Mason Haskell won one event and four runner-up finishes; Leah Griggs recorded a third and fourth place; Natalia Hein took fourth in one event; Jackson Layhew had two firsts, a second and a fourth; Brian Lowery won four events to go with a second and a third; Claire Lowery took first in one event; Emily Lowery won four events and added a runner-up; James Lowery had a first and a second; Sadie Brzozowski took third in one event; Aubrey Duttlinger had a third and a fourth; Emersyn Moore finished second and third; Ayla Morgan recorded two second-place finishes and a fourth place; Raegan Morgan was runner-up in one event; Addison Nance placed second in two events, along with a third and a fourth; Callie Reese won two events; Chloe Short had a first, a third and a fourth; and Cole Zimmerman won one event.
Two holes-in-one recorded at Spring Creek
Two holes-in-one were fired at Spring Creek Golf Course in Spring Valley on April 3.
Egan Hicks, of Princeton, aced the 138-yard seventh hole using an 8-iron. Jeff Hunt and Dave Mosier witnessed the shot.
Dennis Hoffert made a hole-in-one on the 166-yard ninth hole using a 6-iron. Dale Hoffert, Donny Joe Hoffert and Kevin Toovey witnessed the shot.
Trevier named to D3football.com Team of the Week
Rockford University punter Kieran Trevier, a Hall graduate, was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
He is the first Rockford special teams player to earn the honor.
Trevier averaged 39.9 yards on seven punts, had punts of 60 and 57 yards, and had three punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
