Amber V. Flack, 25, of Peru, was cited 3:11 p.m. Tuesday at Sixth and Buffalo streets on complaints of a suspended/revoked driver’s license, fleeing or attempting to elude police and other traffic offenses, Peru police said. Her passenger Kadeem J. Burgess, 31, of Peru, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for a charge of domestic battery, police said. Burgess was taken to La Salle County Jail.
Kendall L. Denham, 25, of Marseilles, was arrested 5:18 p.m. Monday at 12th Street and Westclox Avenue on two failure to appear warrants on charges of criminal trespass and retail theft, Peru police said. Denham was taken to La Salle County Jail.
Mercedes Mendez, 49, of Streator, was cited Tuesday at Columbus and Joliet streets on a complaint of no valid driver’s license, Ottawa police said.
A resident on the 1000 block of North Wasson Street reported their house was struck with multiple paintballs during the nighttime hours Monday, Streator police said.
Makenna Wessels, 20, of Mendota, was cited on a complaint of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, following a two-vehicle crash 10:25 a.m. Friday near the intersection of U.S. 6 and East 1509th Road in Ottawa Township, the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies said Wessels was traveling east on U.S. 6 when she did not see the vehicle in front of her slowing down to stop, driven by Rachael Obos, 19, of Ottawa. Wessels applied the brakes but was unable to avoid the vehicle and struck the rear end of it.
