OSF St. James in Pontiac adds OB-GYN

OSF HealthCare added a new obstetrician/gynecologist to its staff to serve Livingston County and surrounding communities.

OSF says the addition of Dr. Cynthia Mangubat, MD, FACOG, on Feb. 1 will ensure increased access for patients in need of services at OSF Medical Group – Obstetrics and Gynecology in Suite 212 at OSF St. James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.

Mangubat will join Dr. Shai Nyi, MD, FACOG, and his office team to provide routine gynecological and obstetrical care and women’s health services. She also is trained in the NaPro Technology/Creighton Model for Natural Family Planning.

Dr. Mangubat received a medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital. She completed a perinatology fellowship at Philippine General Hospital and a reproductive immunology research fellowship at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. Mangubat also completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at State University of New York, Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo.
