Grundy Bank donates land, $20,000 to City of Morris

Land is located in the Rockwell Estates subdivision

MORRIS — Grundy Bank announced Thursday the donation of land to the City of Morris. The land that has been donated is located west off Red Willow Road, located in the Rockwell Estates subdivision off of W. Route 6.

Besides the land, which consists of 4.4 acres, Grundy Bank is donating $20,000 toward the deelopment of this property to the City of Morris.

“The City of Morris is very thankful for this generous gift of land and money by Grundy Bank,” Morris Mayor Chris Brown said. “These parcels are contiguous to existing park land and we look forward to developing a plan which improves the land, our park system, and contributes to a better quality of life for our residents.”
