Grundy Bank to donate to Morris, Wilmington basketball programs

Bank will give $3 for every 3-pointer by boys, girls teams

MORRIS – The Morris and Wilmington varsity basketball teams are excited about Grundy Bank’s “$3 for 3-Pointers Program” made by both boys and girls varsity teams during the 2021-22 season.

“Morris Community High School Athletics greatly appreciates the support from Grundy Bank,” Morris athletic director Jeff Johnson said. “We are excited that our basketball season has started and are looking forward to hitting several 3-point shots on both our boys and girls varsity teams. We are motivated to make several 3-point shots this season.”

Kevin Olson, President and CEO of Grundy Bank, said, “Grundy Bank is excited to be part of this new program that our marketing department created for both schools. We love being part of these communities and enhancing our great relationship with both schools. Being a community bank for both Morris and Wilmington gives us the opportunity to continue to build on this wonderful relationship.”

“The Wilmington athletic department would use the money donated by Grundy Bank from their $3 for 3-Pointers Program to help supplement the budget for boys and girls basketball,” Wilmington athletic director Brian Goff said. “It would allow us the opportunity to get some extra basketballs to have for the program, as well as help offset the cost of the team picture banner for each program that we hang in the gym during the season.”
