The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Kendall, La Salle, DeKalb and Grundy Counties that is expected to impact Ottawa, Marseilles, Morris, Coal City, Minooka, Joliet and more.

The storm will bring 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail, according to radar.

Those in the area should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of the building.

The warning will expire at 9 p.m.
