The City of DeKalb is accepting applications for FY 2022 Human Services Funding.
Pending City Council approval of the 2022 budget, grant funds totaling approximately $150,000 will be made available to established nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status that provide services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, individuals with substance abuse or mental health conditions, victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, abused and neglected children, older adults, individuals with disabilities, at-risk children and youth, and households of low- to moderate-income.
New agencies establishing innovative services that address the unmet needs of other disadvantaged populations are also encouraged to apply. An additional small allocation has been designated for this purpose. Small grants may be available to qualified applicants proposing new services not currently offered in the community. Application requirements for new agencies are listed on the city website.
Completed applications, along with the required attachments, are due no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8. Incomplete and/or late submissions will not be considered. Application materials and instructions are available on the City of DeKalb website under Community Development/Community Services/Human Services Funds.
