Kish College celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

Kishwaukee College will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with multiple events hosted by the college’s Intercultural Center.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. The events at Kish are free and open to the public.

Kishwaukee College’s programming will provide opportunities for engagement both in-person and virtually. Activities include:

Wednesday, Oct. 6 – Game Day with Millennial Loteria – A new spin on the classic game, Loterìa. The game will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Intercultural Center, C1132.

Tuesday, Oct. 12 – Dialogue Series: Diversity of Latin America – This discussion will explore the diversity of Latino people, culture and traditions. The conversation will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in C1121 and virtually via Zoom.

Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Hispanic Heritage Day: Women’s and Men’s Soccer – Cheer on the Kougars during a soccer double-header to close out National Hispanic Heritage Month. The women’s soccer team will play the College of DuPage at 2:30 p.m., while the men’s team takes on Morton College at 5 p.m. Catch the action on the soccer field.
