Hawthorn invites shoppers to ‘Hot Cocoa Stroll’

VERNON HILLS – Hawthorn, a shopping center in Vernon Hills, will host a magical experience from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14.

The event will feature holiday-themed ice sculptures created live, a DJ spinning everyone’s favorite holiday tunes, a winter market with 30-plus vendors selling holiday favorites from ornaments to gift baskets, hot cocoa stations, fun photo ops that include the leg lamp from “A Christmas Story,” a lively elf or a beautiful snow globe and a charming ice skating rink (skates provided with signed waiver).

The event, which will be held on Hawthorn Row, is free and open to the public.

Those who would like a special Hawthorn swag bag with a stylish hot cocoa mug, a surprise gift card to a Hawthorn Row retailer and festive goodies can buy a $5 ticket. Tickets and swag bags are limited to the first 150 people to register.
