Letter: An even bigger lie

To the Editor:

Donald Trump and his cohorts are still spreading the big lie – that “he won the election, and everyone knows it.”

Now the Republican National Committee has unanimously declared that the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol was ”legitimate political discourse.” Storming police lines, breaking into the Capitol, killing nine people and leaving 150 injured is not a legitimate discourse. For me, the GOP has lost all credibility by trying to cover up the attack on the Capitol with an even bigger lie.

Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and even Mike Pence should be applauded for speaking up against the lies, not canceled.
