Domestic battery arrest
Oswego police arrested Ronald N. Woodson, 41, of the 800 block of Hedgegrow Court, Oswego, on charges of domestic battery at 11:57 a.m. June 7 at his residence. Woodson was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s Office data.
Retail theft
Oswego police are investigating a theft that occurred at 11:50 a.m. June 3 at a retail store in the 2500 block of Route 34. Police said merchandise valued at $645 was taken from the store. They described the suspect as a white female between the ages of 20 and 30.
Vehicle theft
Oswego police are investigating a report of a theft of a motor vehicle that occurred June 6 in the 300 block of Persimmon Lane.
Hit-and-run crash under investigation
Oswego police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 4:10 p.m. June 4 on Route 30 at Fifth Street. Police said the crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries.
Vehicle found damaged
Oswego police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred between 2 and 8:42 p.m. June 4 in the 3700 block of White Oak Drive. Police said damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated in excess of $500.
Criminal damage to property charge
Oswego police arrested Loren E. Cain, 23, of Paradise Parkway, Oswego, at 9:16 a.m. June 5 on Paradise Parkway on a charge of criminal damage to property. Police said the suspect posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
Sexual assault reported
Oswego police reported June 2 that they took a third-party report involving criminal sexual abuse that is alleged to have occurred May 25 at a residence on Lombardy Lane near Ashlawn Avenue. Police said they are investigating.
Vehicle struck, damaged
A Yorkville resident told Oswego police that an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. June 1 while it was parked in the 2000 block of Route 34. Police said damage to the victim’s vehicle is estimated at $1,000.
Gasoline theft reported
The Oswego Public Works Department reported the theft of 600 gallons of gasoline to village police June 2. Police said the gasoline is valued at $1,800.
Battery report
Oswego police are investigating a report of a battery that occurred at 2 p.m. June 3 in the 4000 block of Plainfield Road. Police said a juvenile was injured in the incident, but not transported to the hospital.
