Elgin resident injured, charged with DUI in NaAuSay Township crash

An Elgin resident, Jessica A. Clark-Payne, 20, of the 0-100 block of Hemlock Court, was injured in a single vehicle crash at 2:20 a.m. June 12 in the 15000 block of Ridge Road in unincorporated NaAuSay Township south of Oswego, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

In a press statement, the sheriff’s office reported that Plainfield Fire Protection District paramedics transported Clark-Payne to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office said Clark-Payne was charged with driving under the influence and cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance.
