The Montgomery Village Board will consider an updated plan to locate a Gas N Wash gas station and car wash at the southwest corner of Orchard and Jericho roads when they gather this evening Monday, July 12.
In a memo to the board, Sonya Abt, the village’s community development coordinator, noted the board previously approved plans in October 2019 to construct a gas station and car wash at the intersection.
However, Abt noted the developers, Gas N Wash/WT Group, are now seeking approval of an amendment to the 2019 development agreement for the project.
“The new proposed gas station and car wash has a different layout, includes a drive-through for a Dunkin Donuts and new signage and substantially different elevations than the previously approved gas station/carwash,” Abt wrote.

The village’s planning and zoning commission conducted a public hearing over the amended plans July 1.
During the hearing, some residents of the Lindens subdivision located at the northwest corner of Orchard Road and Jericho Road in Aurora voiced objections to the project. The residents expressed concerns over traffic and noise, and questioned the need for another gas station or car wash in the area.
The commission, however, voted 7-0 on a motion to recommend the board approve the amended project plans.
Monday’s board meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 200 North River Street in the village’s downtown.
