Kroner to step down from Oswego School District Board of Education

Oswego School District 308 Board of Education candidate Ruth Kroner encouraged the district to increase communication between teachers and the administration, to gauge how the district can be fiscally sound and provide a quality education, during an Oswego Education Association candidate forum on Wednesday, March 20.

OSWEGO – Ruth Kroner will be stepping down from the Oswego School District Board of Education because she and her family are moving out of state.

Kroner told her District 308 school board colleagues on Oct. 25 that she will be resigning her seat in December.

“I am committed to the board for now,” Kroner said during the board meeting in the community room of Oswego East High School.

The mother of boys in District 308 schools, Kroner said her husband has accepted a new job that will take the family to Arizona.

Kroner was elected to a four-year term on the school board in April of 2019.

The school district is expected to take applications for an appointment to fill the unexpired portion of Kroner’s term.
