Yorkville police arrest Joliet man on burglary, other charges

Suspect apprehended near Route 34 and Timber Ridge Drive

Yorkville police arrested Gino W. Wuttke, 32, of the 3500 block of Waterford Drive, Joliet, on burglary-related charges early Monday morning, Sept. 20, in the area of Route 34 and Timber Ridge Drive.

In a statement, police said the events that led to Wuttke’s arrest began at 4:43 a.m. when officers responded to a business in the 600 block of West Veterans Parkway on a report of a suspicious vehicle. While responding to the business, officers observed a black 2007 Audi sedan that matched the description of the suspicious vehicle driving erratically. Police said officers attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Route 34 and Timber Ridge Drive. Officers then observed the suspect, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, exit the vehicle and attempt to flee the area on foot. Officers then apprehended suspect.

An officer who responded to the business on West Veterans Parkway observed that a forced entry had been made into the business and a burglary may have occurred, according to police.

Police said Wuttke faces charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal damage to property, theft over $500 and possession of a controlled substance.

The suspect was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Police said Illinois State Police, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Plano police assist in investigating the incident.
