Yorkville resident arrested on felony theft, exploitation of elderly charges

Yorkville police arrested Lori B. Camper, 53, of the 300 block of East Kendall Drive, Yorkville, at her residence June 9 on a warrant for multiple charges of felony theft and financial exploitation of an elderly person.

In a press statement, police said the charges stem from an investigation they started in 2019.

During the course of their investigation, police said they determined the suspect allegedly obtained access to and misused more than $14,000 belonging to a person older than age 60 without that person’s knowledge or authorization.

After being taken into custody, Camper was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville where she later posted $5,000 in bond and was released pending court proceedings, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s Office data.
