UPDATE: Rt. 30 bridge reopens in Montgomery as police complete investigation into shooting

Montgomery police have reopened the Route 30 bridge over the Fox River to traffic after completing an investigation into a shooting that occurred on the bridge late Tuesday morning, Jan. 12.

In a statement, police said they were dispatched to the bridge on a report of a possible car accident at 11:32 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12.

“Further information was provided that determined there was an injured subject inside a vehicle with a possible gunshot wound. That injured subject was subsequently transported to an area hospital for treatment,” police said.

The Route 30 bridge was closed for approximately three and one-half hours as police conducted an investigation.
