High school sports roundup for Friday, Feb. 11: Minooka beats Yorkville on Ricky Hill Jr.’s last-second shot

Minooka 37, Yorkville 36

Ricky Hill Jr.’s last-second floater spoiled Yorkville’s Senior Night. Hill, who scored a game-high 19 points, took the inbounds pass with 5.7 seconds, dribbled through two defenders and rose up for the game-winner.

Justin Jakstys scored 11 points, fellow John Swarn 10 points and LeBaron Lee nine for Yorkville (9-19, 2-14), which trailed 28-21 going into the fourth quarter but fought back to go up three late in the fourth quarter.

Rochelle 86, Sandwich 63

Chris Sommers had 21 points, five rebounds and three assists, Evan Gottlieb 14 points, four rebounds and four assists and Dylan Young 10 points and 11 rebounds for Sandwich (1-25, 0-13).
