Oswego District 308 going to e-learning on Monday

The logo on the front door of School District 308's Administration Center in the East View Elementary School building in Oswego reads SD308. The name "Oswego" was dropped from district's name in 2014. A group of former teachers, board members and administrators have started an online petition to change the district's name back to the former "Oswego Community Unit School District 308." Oswego School District 308 announced it will be going to e-learning on Monday due to the continued frigid temperatures.

“Due to extreme cold, including below-zero temperatures and wind chills near -30°F, SD 308 will utilize an e-learning day tomorrow Monday, January 26. These conditions create serious safety concerns for students walking, waiting at bus stops, and during transportation," the district posted on its Facebook page.
