Geneva police reports for: March 9-16

These are the latest Geneva police reports:

• Alejandro Rios-Garcia, 30, of the 0-99 block of Simpson Street, Geneva, was charged March 9 with two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. According to police reports, the victim said Rios-Garcia slapped and punched her in the face, and struck her with a shoe and a coat hanger. Because he had her cell phone, she walked across the street to CVS Pharmacy where she requested to use an employee’s phone to call 911, the report stated.

• Terry L. Riban, 59, of the 29W600 block of Butterfield Road, Warrenville was charged with disorderly conduct March 13 after an incident at Vargo’s Dance, 205 W. State St., in which she allegedly yelled at someone in a dance class. Police told Riban that she is to remain off the property or be subject to arrest for trespassing, according to the report. An officer told Riban she would be mailed an ordinance citation for disorderly conduct.

• James E. Johnson, 59, a homeless Geneva resident, was charged March 16 with criminal trespass to a residence in the 100 block of North Fourth Street.

• Scott W. Wetherald, 31, of the 100 block of West Pomeroy Street, West Chicago, was charged March 12 with driving under the influence and public urination. According to police reports, when officers approached Wetherald’s car, he was standing outside his car urinating with both front and rear doors open. “I instructed Scott to stop urinating and pull his pants up. Scott pulled his pants up but continued to urinate on himself,” the report stated.
