St. Charles Police Department investigating suspicious incident involving two children

The St. Charles Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident involving two children that occurred Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of South 11th Avenue.

At 12:55 p.m., the department responded to the incident. Two children reported to police they were outside their home when a man car stopped his car in the street, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department.

The man then reportedly told them that he had given their parents a ride home last week and asked them to come near his car, the release said. They refused and the man then left the area.

It is unknown the make and model of the car. The vehicle is black.
